Terms of Service
Effective date: 13 October 2026
These Terms govern your use of pujaportal.com and our puja booking coordination services. Website: https://pujaportal.com
1. About PujaPortal
PujaPortal is a puja booking and coordination platform operated by Saurabh Garg, an individual based in India. PujaPortal is not currently incorporated as a company.
We help customers discover and request Hindu puja services and coordinate with independent Pandits, Purohits and Acharyas (collectively referred to as “Pandits”) to arrange bookings.
- Operator: Saurabh Garg
- Email: saurabh@pujaportal.com
- Address: Brigade Cornerstone Utopia, Serene, F1941, Varthur–Gunjur Main Road, Varthur, Bengaluru, Karnataka – 560087, India.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to our website and use of our booking coordination services.
By accessing our website or submitting a puja request, you agree to these Terms.
2. Our Services
PujaPortal helps customers arrange Hindu pujas and related religious services by:
- Providing information about available pujas and their customary significance.
- Receiving customer enquiries and booking requests.
- Checking the availability of independent Pandits.
- Coordinating service dates, prices and arrangements.
- Sharing booking confirmations and relevant details.
- Assisting with customer enquiries, cancellations and complaints.
PujaPortal operates a managed-booking model. We coordinate bookings, while independent Pandits perform the religious services.
Submitting a request does not automatically confirm a booking.
3. Booking and Confirmation
To request a puja, you may need to provide your name, email address, phone number, preferred date, location and other details reasonably required to arrange the service.
After receiving your request, we will check availability and contact you through email, WhatsApp or another agreed communication channel.
A booking is confirmed only when PujaPortal sends written confirmation of the agreed arrangements.
Before confirmation, we will communicate the relevant details, including:
- The puja and service to be performed.
- The agreed date and timing.
- The service location or remote arrangement.
- The final agreed price and any additional charges.
- The assigned Pandit's details, where available.
- The payment arrangement.
- The applicable cancellation and refund terms.
We may decline a request if a suitable Pandit is unavailable or the service cannot reasonably be arranged.
Customers are responsible for reviewing their booking details and promptly notifying us of any errors.
4. Prices and Payments
Prices displayed on our website may be indicative. The final price will be communicated before a booking is confirmed.
Customers may decline the proposed price before confirmation.
Under our current booking model:
- Customers pay the assigned Pandit directly.
- PujaPortal does not currently collect or hold payments for puja services.
- The payment method and timing will be communicated before confirmation.
- Additional charges, including travel, samagri, delivery or special arrangements, must be disclosed and agreed upon before confirmation.
Customers should retain payment confirmations or receipts from the Pandit.
If a payment dispute arises, PujaPortal may assist with communication and review of the relevant booking details.
5. Cancellation, Refunds and Rescheduling
We aim to provide a transparent and customer-friendly cancellation process.
5.1 Customer Cancellation
Customers may request cancellation before the puja begins by emailing saurabh@pujaportal.com or contacting us through the WhatsApp channel used for the booking.
Under our initial policy, customers may cancel before the service begins without a PujaPortal cancellation fee.
If payment has already been made, we will assist in arranging a full refund from the Pandit who received the payment.
Because payments are made directly to Pandits, the receiving Pandit is responsible for processing the refund. PujaPortal will assist with communication and follow-up.
5.2 Rescheduling
Customers may request one reschedule without a PujaPortal rescheduling fee, subject to Pandit availability.
Any additional cost resulting from a requested change must be disclosed and agreed upon before the revised booking is confirmed.
5.3 Pandit Cancellation or No-Show
If a Pandit cancels, fails to attend or cannot perform the confirmed service, PujaPortal will make reasonable efforts to arrange a suitable replacement or alternative date.
If no suitable alternative is available or the customer does not accept the alternative, we will assist in obtaining a full refund from the Pandit who received the payment.
5.4 Service Not Delivered as Agreed
If a puja is not performed, is materially incomplete or is materially different from the confirmed service, customers should contact us promptly with their booking details.
We will review the circumstances and help coordinate an appropriate resolution, which may include completion of the service, rescheduling, a partial refund or a full refund.
5.5 Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms removes or restricts any mandatory consumer rights available under applicable law.
Further information is available in our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
6. Religious Information and Outcomes
Puja descriptions and religious information on PujaPortal are provided to explain the customary purpose, process and significance of religious ceremonies.
Practices may vary by region, family tradition, lineage and Pandit.
Unless expressly agreed in writing, a puja description does not guarantee that every regional variation or ritual practice will be followed.
Customers should communicate any specific requirements concerning mantras, rituals, language, samagri or traditions before booking confirmation.
PujaPortal does not guarantee particular spiritual, personal, financial, health, relationship or other outcomes from any puja.
Religious practices are matters of faith and tradition, and individual experiences and beliefs may vary.
Information provided on PujaPortal is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial or other specialist advice.
7. Types of Puja Services
Depending on availability and the confirmed arrangements, pujas may be performed:
- In person at an agreed location.
- Remotely by an assigned Pandit.
- Through livestream or another agreed arrangement.
The booking confirmation will specify the applicable service arrangement.
Photographs, recordings, livestream access, prasad delivery or physical materials are included only when expressly confirmed.
For in-person services, customers must provide accurate location details and ensure that the location is reasonably safe and suitable.
Additional travel, accommodation, samagri, delivery or other charges must be agreed upon before confirmation.
Remote services may be affected by internet connectivity or third-party technical issues. Where reasonably possible, we will help coordinate an alternative if a technical problem materially affects the agreed service.
8. Independent Pandits
Pandits arranged through PujaPortal are independent service providers and are not automatically employees of PujaPortal.
PujaPortal may request information about a Pandit's identity, experience and services. Unless expressly stated, we do not guarantee that every Pandit holds a particular certification, qualification or affiliation.
We expect Pandits to communicate respectfully, comply with applicable law and make reasonable efforts to perform the confirmed service.
Customers should report any concerns about a Pandit's conduct or service to PujaPortal.
The independent status of a Pandit does not exclude any responsibility PujaPortal may have for its own representations, booking coordination, customer communications or obligations under applicable law.
9. Customer Responsibilities
Customers agree to:
- Provide accurate and up-to-date booking information.
- Review service details, prices, dates and arrangements before confirmation.
- Communicate relevant preferences or requirements in advance.
- Treat Pandits and PujaPortal representatives respectfully.
- Provide safe and reasonable access for in-person services.
- Pay the assigned Pandit according to the confirmed payment arrangement.
- Avoid fraudulent requests, misleading information or unlawful use of the website.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that they have permission to use the location where an in-person service is arranged.
10. Complaints and Customer Support
Customers experiencing problems with a booking, payment, cancellation or service may contact:
Email: saurabh@pujaportal.com
Please include the booking details and a description of the issue.
PujaPortal will review complaints fairly and may communicate with the customer and Pandit to understand the circumstances.
Depending on the issue, possible resolutions may include clarification, completing an incomplete service, rescheduling, a replacement Pandit or assistance with a partial or full refund.
Our assistance does not guarantee that every dispute with an independent Pandit will be resolved to the customer's satisfaction. It does not limit any legal remedies available to customers.
11. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the PujaPortal name, branding, website design, original text, graphics and other original website materials are owned by or licensed to PujaPortal.
Customers may use the website for personal and lawful purposes.
Website content must not be copied, republished, distributed, sold or commercially exploited without permission, except where applicable law permits it.
Third-party materials remain subject to their respective owners’ rights.
12. Privacy and Personal Information
PujaPortal collects and uses personal information to respond to enquiries, coordinate bookings, communicate with customers, share necessary details with assigned Pandits and handle service-related complaints.
Information shared with a Pandit may include the customer’s name, contact details, booking preferences, service location and other information reasonably required to perform the confirmed service.
We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law.
For further information, please review our Privacy Policy.
Customers should not provide another person’s personal information unless authorised to do so.
13. Website Availability and Changes
We aim to keep PujaPortal available and its information accurate. However, temporary interruptions, maintenance, errors or third-party technical issues may occur.
Puja availability, prices and service offerings may change.
A booking request is not a confirmed booking until written confirmation is sent.
We may update our website and these Terms as our services evolve. Updated Terms will be published on this page with their effective date.
Changes will not remove rights customers already have under applicable law.
14. Liability
PujaPortal will take reasonable care in performing its booking coordination and customer-support activities.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, PujaPortal is not responsible for circumstances outside its reasonable control, including certain third-party network interruptions or events that could not reasonably be prevented.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Nothing in these Terms excuses PujaPortal from responsibility for its own misleading statements, failure to fulfil confirmed obligations or other liability imposed by applicable law.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of India, subject to mandatory consumer-protection or other legal rights that may apply in a customer’s country or region.
If a dispute arises, we encourage customers to contact PujaPortal first so that we can attempt to resolve the matter informally.
Nothing in these Terms prevents customers from approaching a consumer-protection authority, dispute-resolution body or court legally available to them.
